This pad is good quality for the price. The padding under the top layer increases comfort without increasing the machine drying time significantly. Vinyl waterproof layers do not allow for the exchange of body heat like polyurethane does. If you sweat or produce extra heat at night, you may want to look into Beautyrest breathable mattress pads.
