This 4 layer mattress pad consists of a high quality 200 thread count cotton top, an absorbent, padded layer, a waterproof barrier, and finally a polyester bottom layer with a full elasticized skirt. It protects against bacteria, which can degrade fabric and lead to odors and stains. Your bed stays fresh and clean. The top is fully waterproof, so you never have to worry about spills and stains seeping through to the mattress. Fits mattresses up to 22” deep. Machine wash and dry. Protect your mattress from overnight accidents.
Comments from the
This beautiful 4 layer mattress pad is topped with 200 thread count cotton top fabric. No one would suspect that this is anything more than ordinary bedding! However, the inner layer of vinyl provides a permanent barrier against wetness, odors, and stains. Your bed stays fresh and clean. Simply machine wash/dry when the pad becomes soiled. No need to worry about a ruined mattress. This 4 layer mattress pad is heavier and more absorbent than the 3 layer pad, therefore, may take 2 cycles in the dryer to become completely dry.

It Works for Dogs Too!
- Comments about Cotton Top Waterproof Mattress Pads:
OK, so this isn't a traditional use, but my now 6 year old collie came to me at 11 months with a back injury that causes occasional incontinence. To make matters worse, she loves the sofa.
I tried to protect my sofa with vinyl covers from a discount chain -- they didn't stand up to her nesting and would frequenty rip. I tried a couple of "water proof" sofa covers; which weren't.
When I had to ditch the old sofa and get a new one (due to the dog's issues) I really started researching better products and found this one. It's several layers so the dog's toe nails and "nesting" activities won't puncture the water proof layer. The absorbent top prevents puddles. It's easily washable. I couldn't ask for more (other than maybe a dog that doesn't leak ;-)
I will buy another one of these so I have a clean one ready while the other is in the wash. I will need to remove the skirt and add grommets so secure it to the sofa with small bungee cords; it's designed for beds and isn't as secure on the sofa as I would like. Other than that small modification, it's been tested and succeeded in keeping my new sofa safe.
- bottom line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
