Clip Sensor for Dry-Me Alarm

J-DM18-SENSOR

The Clip Sensor for the Dry-Me Alarm has the advantage of being able to clip and anchor to the outside of any close fitting underwear for boys or girls. One sensor is included with each new Dry-Me Alarm, but you can purchase additional sensors here if you have damaged or misplaced the original - or just want to have a spare on hand at your home.

Dry-Me Alarms have a convenient modular plug (just like your telephone connector) to allow you to change sensors.

  • The unique design of this Easy-Clip sensor securely fastens to cloth. It is not easily pulled off and would alert the wearer if this did happen. It should not be used with disposable pants.

The clear phone jack end of the sensor is not designed to be pulled on to turn the alarm off. The correct way to turn off the alarm is to lift the sensor lever and push the reset button. If the phone jack end breaks, it may indicate that the alarm is not being silenced correctly.

    Intermittent short at sensor's plug

Successfully in use nightly for about 8 weeks. Then buzzer sounded in the middle of the night. He got up to change pants but found they were dry. The sensor was reattached and he went back to bed. Upon inspection of his briefs the next morning, there were no wet mspots so we assumed (incorrectly) it was perspiration. The next night, just plugging in the sensor sounded the alarm. Wiggling the cable at the plug would clear or set off the alarm. Thus there is an issue with the plug/cable connection. Socket looks OK. A new sensor was ordered. While we wait for the new sensor lets hope his training will allow him to wake before he wets his pants.

    Works great until it breaks

This was ordered as a replacement for the clip sensor that came with the DryMe device. That one broke after about 6 weeks, piece by piece. Until then, it was easy to use, as was the DryMe device. Right around the time I had to order a replacement sensor cord, my daughter no longer needed it. So I passed the device w sensor on to a friend whose daughter also has nighttime incontinence. Hopefully, this replacement sensor won't start breaking like the original did.
