Bed-Mat Sensor for Malem Alarms

J-MSPA

The Bed-Mat is a foil embossed plastic mat which fits under the bottom sheet over the mattress. The Bed-Mat can be easily cleaned and dried and is attached to the alarm unit by a slim wire which does not disturb the user in bed. Each Bed-Mat is supplied complete with its own connecting lead (approx. 7 feet long).

It has a fantastic advantage of being able to connect to almost any of the Malem or Dry-Me alarms (does not work with Malem Wireless Bedwetting Alarm) and is interchangeable with other Malem or Dry-Me sensors. Purchase this bed mat if you're interested in having the option of letting your child use a traditional bed-mat sensor along with a wearable alarm.

When wetness is detected by the mat, the alarm unit is triggered to sound. Your existing alarm unit can be attached near the head of the bed, so nothing is located on the child's body.

Important Note: Bedside alarms are very sensitive and require ongoing adjustments to the sheet or towel that you place on top of the mat. As the temperature and humidity change, you must make adjustments to the thickness of the cloth you place on top of the mat. Sweaty skin can trigger the alarm. The use of synthetic fabrics will cause static electricity and cause the alarm to sound when dry. Natural fibers should be used for all bedding. For these reasons, most families prefer wearable alarms over bedside alarms. Items cannot be returned once used.

Not great but the best of a bad option

We used two other alarm kits. They Didn’t work. We got this malem kit. It worked a lot better. But this pad worked about 3 weeks before it started failing.

A 5$ roll of copper tape and retapping it made it work again. But you have to redo it every month. After 3 months it won’t respond at all.

I’m buying another pad because at this point I just want the peeing to stop.

wears out eventually, but a good product

We use this to help us detect night-time seizure accompanied by bed-wetting. After a year or two it gets scratched up and loses its sensitivity, but for more typical short term use it should last fine.

    Poor service for price

Alarm for low blood sugar at night (indicated by sweating). Maylem alarm and sensor is a good idea but did not last. first the mat failed, I ordered a new one due to no warranty coverage. before I could put into service the Malem alarm unit failed. I need dependable equipment so I am looking elsewhere!

Beware. Low quality and overpriced produ

The product feels rough on the skin. Make sure you put it below the bed sheet or else you will have a hard time sleeping. Since its plastic, it crumpled easily. In just 1 week, the silver color lines have started turning green.Imagine I paid [$] for something that has already gone bad in 1 week. Asking for refund.

    Try another

It would be good to revamp the sensitivity of the pad. I love the ""clip on style"", but my son wouldn't wear it. I tried this style and it slid around the bed, he moved it off the bed, and it would ring when he was dry.
