A unique moisture sensing device for adults and children who need assistance with toileting or require a unique approach to bedwetting treatment. Do you need to be alerted when your child or an adult you care for needs to be changed? Do you want to avoid the complications associated with a child/patient remaining wet until discovered? The Malem wireless alarm can be attached comfortably to the body and the moisture sensor can be placed on underwear (using the Easy-Clip sensor) or in a disposable diaper (using the optional flat sensor). Once the unit detects moisture, a signal is transmitted to a battery-operated receiver, which can be placed in the caregivers' room or a centralized location.

The wetness alarm consists of a small Transmitter (Tx) and a portable Receiver (Rx). The transmitter (Tx) is attached to the supplied Easy-Clip Sensor, an optional flat sensor or an optional bed-mat sensor. The body-worn transmitter (Tx) detects urination or wetness, which then activates the receiver (Rx). The receiver will emit a choice of alarm sounds, music or a recorded message, user's name (useful for identifying the wet user by name) or music indicating urination or wetness.

When used for the treatment of bedwetting, the receiver must be placed in the child's room so that they can respond to the sound of the alarm. No sound or vibration comes from the unit worn on the body. This is different than the other body-worn alarms, in which the body-worn unit emits a sound.
