The addition of the mesh case to place the sensor pad in helps to make lying on the pad more comfortable. It also absorbs sweat which can occur when lying directly on the plastic pad. This case eliminates the false alarms that occur with sweating. Two mesh cases are included with each alarm so you can replace it when it becomes wet during the night. Machine wash and dry the case, wipe the plastic pad to dry.
Note: This alarm unit should not be attached to the child but should be attached to the bed. Attempting to attach unit to child can cause it to become disconnected as child rolls over.

2 stars, Does not work properly
By M from Denver, CO on 2016-07-31
This alarm would sound at times when the sheets and bed were dry and my son would just sit on his bed. Try another product , not this one.
2 stars, I wouldn't buy this product
By Jennifer from Arlington, TX on 2016-07-01
This bed alarm has never sounded when it supposed to sound. I had to end up buying pull ups again because it doesn't work.
1 stars, DO NOT BUY
By Debbie from Las Vegas on 2016-06-07
Bought this product for our 7 year old son who wets the bed every night. By the time the pee hits the sensor pad, he has already soaked through underwear and sheets so it's not even going off until his whole bladder is empty. Very frustrating. Called company and they basically said, " Too bad". They would not reimburse or put towards a clip on. Extremely disappointed for how much money we spent.
1 stars, wet call alarm
By woodpecker from Tasmania hobart on 2016-04-22
Cons: not happy alarm hasn't worked, alarm always going off as soon as turned on, now a dust collector as doesn't work
I'm not happy with alarm as we can't use it as the alarm doesn't turn of even when no one is on it. Daughter got upset as she has used a mat before and it worked wonders but this one she couldn't even lay on without crying cause it was telling her she was wet. She has said she would prefer to put nappies back on than use a mat that doesn't work
2 stars, Too sensitive
By zheron from Orange Park, FL on 2016-04-21
The mat makes this product alot easier to use than the one that clips to underwear. Unfortunately the mat is ultra sensitive. I have found that once wet you have to clean the mat EXTREMELY thoroughly. You have to really scrub it with a wet wipe or something to get all the sticky urine off then you have to really really rub it good with a paper towel until totally dry. This thing will detect the most minuscule amount of moisture. it will even pick up sweating, so be sure to use lighter pajama's and to put a sheet between the mat and the body. I wish there was some way to adjust the sensitivity but there isn't.
5 stars, I would buy this product again!
By Just Call Me Mom from Centerville, Ohio on 2015-11-07
Pros: Cleaning is quick & easy at night, Less clean up!, Loud therefore wakes up my child
This has helped reveal to my child where his struggle is in this process. It has helped him to take responsibility for his own body in getting out of bed to use the bathroom even when he's tired and wants to 'stay warm in bed'. He knows exactly what will happen if he doesn't use the bathroom so it has helped him learn independence in this area without my help (having to wake him up to use the rest room). Also, it is less clean up than when he would completely soak his bed and then sleep through it.

My son is finally staying dry after using this alarm. We tried the clip on alarms with no success.

4 stars, Great product

Great product except it moves around. My daughter rolls off it and then it is of no use.
2 stars, Sweating made it unreliable
By Gene from Madison, WI on 2015-05-27
The device went off when my daughter wet the bed. Unfortunately, it would go off every night as soon as she started sweating. She doesn't wear a pull up or underwear at night and I'm sure that didn't help matters. But that's why I tried this device -- she would take off the wearable ones.
4 stars, I might get a different item the next time.
By has no nickname from Hampton, Va. 23669 on 2015-05-04
Its not that it doesn't work but for some reason my great grandchild must be a very heavy sleeper cause it is taking forever to wake her when the alarm goes off. Also after she wakes up and goes to the bathroom to make sure she has emptied she will wet again about 4 1/2 hrs later. i'm on week 4 and was really hoping to see a improvement on her part by now.
4 stars, Good Product
By Happy Family from Foley, Alabama on 2015-02-18
Pros: Functionality, Sensitive, Easy clean up, Works as described
Cons: No Care Info For Covers, Some false alarms, Flimsy, Durability
Best Uses: Bed wetting
Used product for about 2 months and our son has almost completed the program already. Works for our family as our son didn't want to wear wires or have something attached to his underwear. This product isn't without flaws as well. The pad has given us several false alarms but has always worked when urine was involved. No laundry instructions on the covers. Sensor pad seems very flimsy but the final outcome surpasses the CONS. Recommended from our family.
2 stars, Should have bought the clip on
By Debbie from Las Vegas, NV on 2015-01-10
This product works. The sensor pad is very sensitive to any wetness. However, my sons pee would never reach the pad. If he is sleeping on his back his underwear pajamas and even the sheets absorb all of the wetness and nothing reaches the pad. I was waking up three times a night to find him soaked on top yet nothing had set off the sensor. After three nights of this I was completely exhausted. I called the company and of course they refused to take the product back. Or exchange it. The lady actually suggested that I have him sleep with no covers and thinner PJs. I told her it's in the low 40s here at this time of year. She suggested I buy a space heater for his room. Are you kidding me? I should have bought the sensor that clips onto the front of their underwear. Very dissatisfied.
4 stars, Daughter Proud of Her Accomplishments!!
By momof2ingeorgia from Atlanta, GA on 2014-12-09
Our 8 year old daughter has never once woken up to go to the bathroom at night. She has always been in pull-ups. She was finally ready to "wake up her brain" after she needed to wear her pull-ups to a few sleepovers. Yes, the pad is sensitive to sweat, BUT we have seen results, and quickly, with this product! The alarm is loud, it wakes her enough to realize something is happening. We then make sure she is fully awake and she turns the alarm off herself. She is proud of her accomplishments every night!

5 stars, FANTASTIC PRODUCT
By Amy from Bel Air, MD on 2014-03-28
Pros: Has Stopped Bedwetting, Easy to use, Very sensitive to wetness
Cons: Very sensitive to sweat
Best Uses: Childhood Enuresis
This product has revolutionized our lives. My daughter stopped bed wetting after a few short weeks. I wish I had known about this product years ago!
4 stars, so far so good
By proud mama from NH on 2014-02-05
Pros: Effective, Easy to set up, Easy to clean
Cons: Alarm Not Always Ver Loud, Alarm Not Always Very Lou, Uses up batteries quickly
We have been using this for our 7 year old daughter's bedwetting for the past 3 weeks. We saw a difference in the number of accidents a night after only a few days. She has improved since the. With several dry nights and now has had 9 consecutive dry nights. We have been pleased so far and look forward to a successful end result.
5 stars, We are very happy with this alarm so far
By Grant's Mom from San Jose, CA on 2013-09-16
We have been using it for 3 weeks and my 8 year old son can operate and reset the alarm by himself! We did need to use the pad in a pillow case because, otherwise, it does go off with sweating. The pillow case totally solved that problem though. My son had previously NEVER been dry in his life, and so far, he's been completely for 3 nights! One of the 3 dry nights, he actually woke up by himself and went to the potty before the alarm went off! The other two nights, he slept through the night with no accidents! We have previously tried a wearable alarm, however, it was too difficult for him to operate to help at all. We are very hopeful that this is the device that will teach him how to stay dry at night very soon!
2 stars, Slightly Flawed
By Still Searching from Anchorage, AK on 2013-08-27
Pros: Alarm is loud
Cons: Too Sensitive
When my son would get too hot at night and get a little sweaty the alarm would sound low and steady.
1 stars, False Alarm
By Stressed from Ogden, UT on 2013-08-23
After looking at all products with me, my son picked this one because he didn't want to wear special underwear. However, the first night he learned how to avoid it -- sleep anywhere but over the pad. The alarm would go off and wake up everyone in the house except him. Often it would go off and we would go check and he had not peed. After getting up multiple times a night and finding no wet bed, we would just unplug it, so we could sleep. However, we thought we could put it on the foor where the dog pees and he shouldn't and maybe it will scare him and he will stop.
4 stars, Hoping it will work
By DDD Mom from Little Rock, AR on 2013-06-02
Pros: Loud Durable Well Made
I bought this for my 11 year old son, I am so sick of all the laundry caused by bedwetting. This product is a good size, arrived quickly and is easy to use. We have been using it for about three weeks. I have seen an improvement in his waking up to use the restroom but he is not cured yet. The one problem is if he has a little accident, wakes up and goes to the restroom, then he will not plug it in again for the rest of the night, sometimes resulting in a big mess. It is wet and will beep if he plugs it back in. I have not tried wiping it dry, I usually don't hear it downstairs.
1 stars, not worth the money
By frustrated Mom from Ct on 2013-04-10
Pros: Nothing Positive To Share
Cons: Pad For Bed Is Too Small, Alarm Itself Broke When I
pad is not large enough if your child moves/rolls, alarm itself is not well made because it fell & broke when it landed on hardwood floor! Very disappointing & not worth the money.
4 stars, Seems to be working
By CDMom22 from Seattle, WA on 2013-01-22
Pros: Wakes child up, Loud enough, Sensitive to moisture
Cons: Accidental Unplugs
This is working for my son. however, we had several days of struggle with it getting accidentally unplugged. this happened when it was taped to headboard, when pinned to his shirt, and when pinned to pillow. We finally pinned it to the side of his mattress/sheet, and it is working fine. Needs to have a pillow case over it, or sweat can activate.
3 stars, Is working...but not a comfortable pad
By jwk from san jose, ça on 2013-01-10
Cons: The Pad Itself Is Hard
I read the reviews on the product before buying, but was not what I expected (and I called Bedwetting Store to ask about the product but was not able to get in touch with anyone and just decided to go for it -- chose this in part because the Malem pad was more expensive). So, my child is older...12. Is it working? Yes, has not wet even once. Is it comfortable for him? No, definitely not. Never expected that the pad itself would be this hard. Had it under the sheet to start with, now it is under the mattress pad -- can still quite easily feel this stiff, hard thing. They could have made it more soft and flexible. I have to hand it to my son for not pulling the thing out of the bed. If you don't have a particularly cooperative or motivated child, as I do -- or, might work for a young child who does not know better -- would try something different.
3 stars, It's ok I just wish the alarm was louder
By Tina from Oregon on 2012-12-05
My child wish it was not so uncomfortable to lay on. I wish the alarm was louder for extremely heavy sleepers.
5 stars, Worked in just 2 weeks
By HappyMom from Wakefiled Massachusetts on 2012-11-04
Our child would not use the alarm that clipped to pajamas. This alarm was comfrtable to use and a complete success.
5 stars, Parent's Helper
By Daisy Mae from Melbourne, FL on 2012-10-09
I use this product with a 10 year old. At times she sleeps during the alarm, but it wakes me up. When that happens, she HAS to get up to go to the restroom as well as HELPING with the change of linens. It fits easily into a Queen Size Pillowcase and washes off easily. However, it does slip around with a restless sleeper and alarms due to sweat, but that helps to get child up to urinate. GREAT PRODUCT!
5 stars, Wet Call Bedwetting Alarm (Pad)
By Tamara from Hartford, CT on 2012-09-20
Pros: Very Sensitive Effective
Cons: Very Tired 1st Nights
We use the product nightly, our child is now recognizing when to get up to go to the bathroom. This is the most success our family has had fighting bed-wetting. The first few nights were the toughest, as we were acclimating to the change, where we did not get much sleep if any at all. But over time, our son has really improved , the alarm scarcely makes a sound now, he's up and running to the bathroom.
