The "Flat" sensor is a small, detachable, moisture-sensitive sensor. This rust-proof, gold plated sensor is easily cleaned and can replace any other Malem sensor. When urination commences and the sensor is moistened, the alarm is triggered.

Malem alarms have a convenient modular plug (just like your telephone connector) to allow you to change sensors. Sensor will fit any Malem alarm except for the Malem Wireless Bedwetting alarm.

Boys: This sensor slips inside the Y-fold/pouch of boy's briefs and clips in place with a crocodile clip or can be slipped into a disposable pant.

Girls: The sensor can either be placed and anchored using the crocodile clip inside an absorbent, disposable pad worn inside the underwear, or sandwiched and anchored between two pairs of close fitting panties.

    Most reliable sensor we've tried

    We have tried at least three different brands of alarms and Malams has been the best overall. For Malams, the biggest challenge was to clean the standard sensor - urine cumulates inside the standard sensor and it then prevented the sensor from working again and it was impossible to clean properly. Finally, Malams came out with this flat sensor - it could be easily cleaned under hot water and reuse again and again. Although I still wish Malams to improve the clip - remove the clip cover (hard to clean and use) and reshape the clip itself to more ""skin friendly"", i.e. not so sharp to scratch skin.

    I didn't get what i thought i was buying I got just a wire and i though i was getting what was pictured

    Much better than original sensor

    The disciption says to use this with pull-ups. We use it with regular underwear. Just tuck the sensor I between the ""pee pocket"" of my son's underwear and it clips on with a little alligator clip. We did detach and move the alligator clip closer to the sensor head to achieve a nice snug fit in the pocket. It's so sensitive that the moisture from my hands sets it off so don't put it right next to your child's skin (especially if they are sweaty sleepers like mine). Awesome. We use this as our regular sensor and keep the original as a back up. LOVE it!

    Good with diapers

    The sensor works with diaper in contrast to other sensors, so you do not need to protect the bed or to replace wet linen. Very sensitive sensor, only one drop of urine is needed to activate the alarm.
