A selectable combination of sound and vibration suits the needs of the child. A selection switch can be easily set to sound only, sound and vibration, or vibration only.

The alarm is connected to a small clip-on sensor which detects moisture and anchors to the outside of any close fitting underwear for boys or girls. No sewing to hassle with or metal clips or snaps to come undone during the night. No mini-pads to buy and attach each night!

Sensor contacts are within the clip so skin contact or sweating will not trigger the alarm. The alarm sounds until the sensor is removed or the reset button is pressed, allowing you or your child sufficient time to effectively respond to the alarm.

Included with every Malem bedwetting alarm are instructions for use, charts to track progress and (2) AAA batteries.

    Parents often ask about a single tone versus a multiple tone alarm. No research has been conducted to determine if one tone is more effective than another for curing enuresis. This is a personal preference.

    Pure behaviorists would recommend a single tone bedwetting alarm. The Ultimate Single tone Malem alarms (blue, purple, pink) sound the same each time they sound. (Note that each color is a little different sounding.) If you're working with more than one child at a time, select different tones so you will know who needs your help.

    Some families have found that their child seems to tune out sounds quickly. For this situation, a random 8-tone alarm would be beneficial. The Ultimate Selectable Multi-Tone bedwetting alarm is available in magenta, royal blue or camouflage.

    Almost good

    My daughter is a deep sleeper, but I didn’t realize how deep. At first she was waking up from the alarm, but now it is not waking her up. I really wish I would have purchased the alarm with multiple sounds.

    Great tool

    Works well and seems to be helping.
    One star off because it’s not quite as refined as one might expect at this day and age. But as a medical device, it’s good.

    It works!

    I was skeptical since we had tried chiropractors, medication, supplements for our 11 year old daughter. The first 5 days were hard getting up several times a night to change everything but then it clicked and she started waking up. She has only had one accident in the last 2 weeks! Yay!!

    Alarm keeps sounding after it gets wet

    We’ve had good success and progress so far, but I find that after my kid wets the first time at night it’s hard to get the alarm back onto his underwear without it going off every time I clip it. Not sure if it’s because there is residual moisture in the sensor still, but even after several tries and attempting to dry it off it still sounds as soon as you clip it. It’s very frustrating in the middle of the night, and for the price I would have expected it to be better.

    Doesn’t activate when it should be

    Everything seems well made but the device doesn’t activate until my child’s underwear and pajamas are completely soaked. No matter where on his underwear we put the clip it won’t go off until he’s completely voided which seems to defeat the purpose of waking him up “while” he’s peeing.

    Many children who wet the bed are such sound sleepers that they cannot initially respond to an alarm on their own. This does not mean that they will be unsuccessful with the alarm. It is important that if your child does not hear the alarm on her own, that you help her wake up when the alarm goes off.

    The purpose of the alarm is to wake your child up in the time frame of the wetting so that your child gets up and physically goes to the bathroom (even if there is a full void on the bed). As this continues, there will be a bladder to brain connection of going to the bathroom.
