Nite Train-r® wearable bedwetting alarms have been redesigned to be even more reliable. They are gender specific and come with moisture sensor pads which are uniquely shaped to fit boy’s or girl’s anatomy to ensure fastest detection of urine and for added comfort. The sensor pads are strategically placed inside the underwear in order to catch the first drop of urine and sound the alarm at point of contact. The alarm attaches to the shoulder of the child’s sleepwear close to the ear. This will then awaken the user to finish eliminating in the toilet.

Each sensor pad is to be used with the specially designed washable mesh covers to help reduce false alarms and add even greater comfort. The smart mesh cover program designed for the sensor pads changes the sensitivity of the alarm thereby helping to differentiate between body sweat and drops of urine. The sensor pads can instantly be wiped clean and ready to be reused in seconds.

Each Male/Female unit consists of 2 reusable moisture sensor pads, 2 mesh covers and a dual volume control electronic alarm box (high pitch or low pitch sound options) with a 9 volt battery (included), instructions for use and a progress chart. Specify male or female when ordering. Additional sensors are available in our accessories section.

Comments

The large sensor pad worn inside the underwear can be uncomfortable for smaller children. Two sensor pads may not be adequate for children who wet multiple times a night, so you may want to purchase a spare.

The equipment did not work for the 6 year old.

Equipment did not solve the problem.

Great idea and easy to understand but the safety pins are a pain to deal with bc they don't go through the Velcro easily. It comes with everything u could need. Once the attachment is improved it will be a great product.

Working

I used the older version several years ago, and when it became time to get another device, came back to this one. We are still just two weeks into it, but making progress. I have a really, really deep sleeper and he's still not hearing the alarm independently - despite the fact that it wakes me up two bedrooms away. But, the instructions say that it can take 10-12 weeks and I am now having flashbacks that it does indeed take a while. So - we will persevere. I did have to call customer service to the company directly and they were SO INCREDIBLY helpful and sent new covers with velcro! Top notch service and response which is why I wrote this. I really appreciate the extra help.

Poor design for deep sleeping but tossing and turning child

Our urologist ordered this system for my 10 year old, probably because it is on the lower price range for these types of things and the pharmacy had it in stock (note - Medicaid covers these). When we could get it to work the correct way it seemed to do the trick - my son definitely woke in mid pee and got up to finish in the toilet. Unfortunately it did not work correctly often. The design of this product means you get A LOT of false alarms. The sensor pad has these two metal buttons at the top where the wires connect, and if they touch the skin the alarm goes off. If the prong at the end of the wires that you stick into the alarm thing pulls out part way the alarm goes off. If the felt like cover you put over the sensor pad isn't 110% dry the alarm goes off. If the battery inside the little plastic alarm case thing isn't perfectly aligned the alarm goes off. My boy sleeps deeply but moves a lot and sweats a lot. So as you can imagine this thing was going off constantly around here. We tried a bit of jury rigging which worked for a little while but in the end the wires pulled off the sensor pad completely and the alarm started going off with the senor being plugged in at all. To be fair they do have a good warranty policy - I am sure we could get it replaced - but it was such a pain in the butt to use that we're going to try a wireless system. I think this particular design might work fine if your bedwetting person isn't a little overheated whirling dervish like mine. I feel a little bad because I am sure these folks are trying to make a helpful product and I do see it has worked well for some. But it just didn't work for us.

Horrible product

Unit was cheaply made, when taken apart to place the battery, the whole unit comes apart. The original sensor would not go off at all. When I got a replacement sensor, it went of whenever my daughter moved. She is very frustrated with her bed wetting and all the set backs with this device just heightened her frustration.
