The Malem Audio Alarm is a small, ultra lightweight alarm comfortably worn on the nightwear close to the shoulder. The bedwetting alarm is connected to a clip-on moisture sensor which anchors to the outside of any close fitting underwear for boys or girls. Sensor contacts are within the clip so skin contact or sweating will not trigger the alarm.

Malem alarms are well constructed and durable, with sounds that wake children. Available with a single tone (red) or 8 separate tones (camouflage) to prevent "audio accommodation" - getting used to one sound and tuning it out. The alarm sounds continuously until the sensor is removed, allowing you or your child sufficient time to effectively respond to the alarm.

Included with every Malem Bedwetting Alarm are instructions for use, charts to track progress and one set of batteries. Uses 3 alkaline "button" style batteries per set (Eveready A76).

    Good, maybe slowly working for us

    I think the alarm is really good. We're still struggling with nighttime training after 3 weeks, but are improving and hopeful it will end up fully training our almost 5-year-old soon! No complaints about the alarm.

    doesn't work

    I just sent an email this morning - it worked for the first few weeks but hasn't worked for a couple weeks now. I thought it was just my son putting it on wrong but I tested it myself on wet cloth and it does not go off. I did all the troubleshooting tips and replaced the batteries (which should not need to be replaced now anyway) and it still does not go off.

    The issue could be that the batteries are inserted incorrectly. It appears as though both batteries should be inserted in the same direction, when they do not. Please call us at 1-800-214-9605 and we will be happy to guide you through the troubleshooting steps.

    Battery doesn't last

    I gave my review 3 stars because the customer I received when I ordered was great and the alarm worked wonderfully when it had battery life. However, within 2 weeks of using it the battery died. They are non-standard size batteries so they are hard to replace quickly. 2 weeks battery life for something that went off very infrequently is very disappointing especially when the device cost $80. With it dying so soon I do not habe replacement batteries and will struggle to find some before our son needs to use it again.

    The batteries in the audible Malem alarm will last for approximately 1 hour of playing time. Playing time indicates the amount of time that the alarm is actually sounding. The alarm may be getting muffled, causing it to alarm for a longer period time. We recommend placing the alarm closer to the shoulder, so that the alarm can be shut off more immediately upon getting triggered.

    unfortunately my son managed to wet the speaker as well as the sensor and it was stuck making a clicking noise rather than an alarm. I would love to know if we could get a refund and try the rogers to avoid this issue... hopefully... Please help!

    It was nice speaking with you this morning over the telephone. As mentioned, the alarm box is not meant to hold moisture, so it is very important that it is securely clipped on the shirt. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    Broke first week, only worked intermittently

    The monitor only worked about half the time. The wiring frayed in the second week and it no longer works. Back to square one, but not sure what to get because I am unsure of the quality of the products now.
