Malem ULTIMATE Recordable Bedwetting Alarm

My son have both recorded messages. It grabs his attention with less ""startling"" or fear. It took 8 months before we saw enough dry nights to consider discontinuing use, but we saw improvements within the first 3 weeks (wetting size and frequency per night). My son actually preferred to use ""wet pants"" or pull-ups over top for ""just in case wet nights"" which really reduced midnight sheet and pad changes. He finds the alarm box cumbersome and heavy. Hurts to sleep on his tummy and rests awkwardly against a neck when on his side or back. Flops around. Our clip has broken and I'm awaiting a response from BW store on what to do now.

We first tried the Malem alarm with sounds only (this one wasn't available at that time). The sounds scared my 8 year old son the first time it went off and he was so scared of it that we never used it again. THEN they came out with this RECORDABLE alarm....it's fantastic!! Took some convincing that this alarm is not the same as the first. We got my son to choose what he wanted it to say and his dad recorded it. Worked like a charm from the first night!! The alarm went off once per night, 5 nights in a row....then he started waking up on his own before the alarm went off. We have been alarm-free (AND DRY!) for 28 days now.

Trained him for two weeks as suggested, now my child uses the product independently. He feels so much better about himself not that he is not using a pull up and waking up wet. He was such a heavy sleeper that another alarm we tried didn't wake him, but the sound of my voice works right away!

This worked great for our 6 year old son.

We like the product and would have continued to use it if it hadn't reversed its alarm after the 6th use. Now when the red tab is up the alarm goes on so that when we reattach it to my child's pull-up it won't stop. We tried changing the settings, rearranging the batteries and attaching to a different fabric but alarm still would not go off if red tab was down (which it needs to be in order to clamp it onto anything). I will have to try to return the product and hopefully receive a new one that isn't faulty.
