This alarm is very comfortable and easy to use for any school age child. Kids readily accept putting on specialized moisture sensing underwear when they get ready for bed. When the underwear senses wetness, it alarms to alert the child and family that they need to get up and go to the bathroom. This is the alarm for you if your child will find it difficult to wear and clip an alarm to them every night.

When you wash, remember to remove transmitter from briefs. Machine wash briefs in warm water. Do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat without antistatic/softener sheet. DO NOT WRING. DO NOT WASH TRANSMITTER. Wipe transmitter clean with damp cloth and air dry.

Because starch is used on the briefs during the manufacturing process, it is recommended that the briefs be laundered or soaked with water and detergent prior to the first use. This removes the starch from the cloth, increases the rate of absorption, and insures the alarm's quick response to moisture.

We highly recommend purchasing extra briefs to go with your alarm. This will cut down on laundry and will allow for changes in the night.

  • The Rodger® Wireless Bedwetting Alarm System is a complete, easy-to-use dry solution to your child’s bedwetting problem. Your child will find it easy to wear because the underwear fits just like normal underwear. But with a very special difference – the invisible threads sewn into the underpants connect to two snaps near the waistband. At bedtime, your child attaches a small transmitter to the snaps on the underpants. When your child wets a few drops, the Rodger alarm receiver sounds with one of 8 different tones, alerting you and your child that wetting has occurred.

Each Rodger® Bedwetting Alarm system contains one brief in a color of your choosing (Please note that the lavender color has threads placed specifically for girls. The red and navy colors are unisex), one transmitter, and one 8 tone variable volume alarm receiver. The small waterproof transmitter snaps to the waistband. The alarm receiver plugs into a convenient wall outlet in your child's bedroom, or it can take two AA batteries.

Once the bed wetting alarm sounds, it will continue until you press a reset button on the front of the receiver. This helps ensure that your child actually gets up when the alarm sounds. The child can then go to the bathroom, and parents can check on their progress. After toileting, replace the underwear with a clean pair and reattach the transmitter.

In the morning, you will be reminded to record the night’s progress in the Rodger® App.  You can track progress on your phone - from Wet Nights to Small Wet to Dry and give Rewards along the way.  This is the only bedwetting alarm that makes it so easy to record progress!

Need a receiver for the parent too? Order a two receiver package that allows you to place one receiver in your child's bedroom and a second receiver in another bedroom. When your child wets, your receiver will sound too, alerting you so you can help your child. As children have less enuresis and need less parental assistance, the second receiver can be turned off.

Receivers work up to approximately 75 feet - depending on wall and floor construction and surrounding environment. We recommend testing your alarm prior to use, to make sure both units work within the layout of your home. Replacement transmitters can be purchased (call us for details). Many parents find that extra sensor briefs are useful and are available here. If your child is a heavy sleeper, an optional bedshaker is available.

    Amazing progress!

I was desperate for a solution for my 6yo. I didn't want to have to try a million different things (we already had tried strategies that just weren't sticking). So after some research, I got the Rodger wireless bedwetting alarm. My son was nervous to wear the underwear, he didn't like the options for the alarm, but with some external motivation (cash -- for wearing the underwear, more for a dry night), we've had success. It was great to talk with him after an alarm and he became more cognizant of what he needed to do. We've been doing it for a month and he's only had three accidents. I'm confident with more time, he's going to master it. I'm so happy we went with this solution. I can hear the alarm from my room even on the lowest level, and I'm so amazed at how quickly the alarm goes off. Even with a little wetness, he wakes up, shuts off the alarm and goes pee. We bought the size that the size guide recommended, but it was still a little big. He wears regular underwear underneath and it still works great. It's an expensive solution (wish there was a Canadian supplier), but worth it to not have to do so much laundry!

    Doesn't work

The alarm doesn't wake my son up so the product has been totally useless.

Many children who wet the bed are such sound sleepers that they cannot initially respond to an alarm on their own. This does not mean that they will be unsuccessful with the alarm. It is important that if your child does not hear the alarm on her own, that you help her wake up when the alarm goes off.

    Bed wetting alarm

Our son has been successful at getting up and going to void for six straight days. This is success for an almost 13 year old. We like the wiring throughout the front of the underwear to make tracking more efficient and expedient. We do find the underwear are short in the boxer brief- they could be designed an in he longer perhaps. We do also wish the alarm could be adjusted to be even louder as it was not waking him. Overall we are hoping this helps to retrain his brain so he can stay confidently dry through the night. He seems to be waking by himself now as nights go by and getting to the bathroom independently in advance of the alarm going off. We are two weeks in and are very happy with the success he has had in a short period of time. My recommendation would be to start sooner than pre- teen years but because our son is autistic and epileptic and has central sleep apnea- his neuro team wanted to give him more time to self regulate. He is trained in the day but the night time adult pull ups were soaked. I am so glad his incontinence specialist suggested trying a bed wetting alarm and although we are in Canada we felt ordering this concept of alarm with different sounds that he could choose form on the alarm and having boxer briefs wired all along the front- was a much better options than what we had locally. It is such a relief to wake up in the morning to a dry happy child rather than struggle with one that needs to be changed and bathed because of being wet through the night. I recommend trying these but maybe size up on the underwear. Definitely get 4 pairs for changes through the night at first.
